New at LANO?

We know it can often feel a little daunting to try something new for the first time, so here is some helpful information to get you started.

What classes are best for beginners?

All of our classes are open level so you are welcome to try any of them. If you are brand new to yoga, we would recommend starting with Gentle or Classic to get to grips with the foundations. If you want to try a heated class, give 26&2 a go as this is suitable for all levels, from beginners to advanced.

What should I wear?

Anything that you feel comfortable to move around in. For any of our hot classes, we recommend not wearing anything too heavy that will soak up sweat, think breathable and lightweight!

What do I need to bring ?

Bring along your water bottle (we have refill stations in our studios), yoga mat and towel if you have access to them. If not, you can hire a mat (£2) or yoga towel (£2) for your session.

When do I arrive at the studio ?

Please arrive 10- 15 minutes before the class starts. This will give you plenty of time to familiarise yourself with the space, meet your teacher and get yourself ready for the practice. Doors will be locked 3 minutes before the class start time so it is important that you arrive punctually for your session.

Are there changing facilities?

Yes, both studios are fitted with showers and changing rooms, as well as accessible toilets. We do not supply lockers, so leave valuables at home.

Are yoga mats available?

Yes, we have yoga mats for hire at both studios. You can hire a mat for just £2. If you have your own mat, please feel free to bring it along. However, we advise against bringing a springy fitness style mat as these can be difficult for balancing postures.

The following memberships and drop-ins have free mat hire included in the price:

  • Annual Unlimited
  • Annual
  • Club Unlimited
  • Club Lite
  • Club Off-Peak
  • ONE Club
  • Heated drop-in
  • Unheated drop-in

We also sell yoga mats in both studios, should you wish to purchase one.

Are towels available?

Yes, we have towels for hire in both studios. You can hire a  yoga mat towel for £2 (useful for heated yoga classes) and also a shower towel for £2, should you wish to have a shower after class.

What pricing option is best for someone who is new to LANO?

If you wish to try a variety of classes at LANO, we always advise new starters to opt for one of our intro offers. These allow you to try different styles of yoga and see which teachers resonate with you.

The intro offers are as follows:

  • Intro Off-Peak – £29 for 30 days of yoga from Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm, heated and unheated classes at both studios are included
  • Intro Unlimited – £49 for 30 days of yoga, any day, any time, heated and unheated classes at both studios are included
  • Intro Special – £99 for 30 days of yoga, any day, any time, heated and unheated classes at both studios are included, plus one private class

If you just wish to do one class with us, you can opt for one of our drop-in options. Unheated drop-ins are £15, heated drop-ins are £20. Our 7am classes are just £12 per drop-in, regardless of whether the class is heated or unheated.

I've bought my intro offer, what happens next?

Once you have purchased your intro offer, you are free to book onto classes at both studios. You can book a class via our website or our app. Alternatively, you can give us a call or email us. Your intro offer won’t start until the day of your first class.

What pricing options are available once I've completed my intro month?

We have a variety of pricing options available, including annual subscriptions, monthly memberships, class cards and single drop-ins. Use the below chart to help you work out which is best for you.

Do you have parking on-site?

We don’t have our own car park at either studio. However, there is plenty of free on-road parking near to the Southsea studio. This is usually limited to 1, 2 or 3 hours of free parking, depending on which road you are able to find spaces. Please be aware that some roads are for residents only, so make sure you check the signs.

In Chichester, there are a number of public car parks within walking distance of the studio. You will need to check times and prices of the car parks online.
